“It was fairly bewildering to hear harsh words coming from eleven year old mouths. As I was left to form my own opinions and ideas about politics, it was a rewarding experience to say my own original words instead of a rehashed verbal tirade someone’s father spewed out across the mashed potatoes”
hahahaha ahhh why do i sound snarky about politics? its weird, not me. this is a portion from my gov paper. we’re suppposed to write what influences our political beliefs and i’m really struggling here. i just find it to be so corrupt, with a few people in there really out there for something other than money, but at the same time, i don’t want to just abandon it. so my influences: padre/i put this as my “morally conservative, yet everything else is liberal parents”, bay area/california culture, and my faith/those kind of beliefs. anyways, i guess i have to take this part out so ms. desilva doesn’t think i became jaded and bitter about politics when i was eleven.
